A strong broadband connection is only useful if you can get a reliable signal where you need it. I install Wi-Fi access points and network solutions to improve coverage around homes and small businesses, particularly where a single broadband router struggles to provide reliable Wi-Fi throughout the property.
Depending on the property and your requirements, this can include wired Wi-Fi access points, network cabling and wireless links to outbuildings, providing a more reliable connection in areas where the existing Wi-Fi signal is weak or unavailable.
I can also install more comprehensive structured networks and IP CCTV systems for new-build properties and major renovation projects, where cabling can be planned and installed neatly as part of the work.
Wi-Fi Access Point Installation
Wi-Fi problems are often caused by the location and limited coverage of the broadband router rather than the broadband connection itself. I install wired Wi-Fi access points in suitable locations around the property to provide stronger, more reliable coverage where it’s needed.
Access points are connected back to the network by Ethernet cable, providing a stable connection without relying on wireless repeaters or extenders. Multiple access points can be installed in larger properties to provide good Wi-Fi coverage throughout the building.
I can install and configure access points to work with your existing broadband connection, including systems where Starlink is being used as the internet service.
Wi-Fi Bridges for Garden Rooms & Outbuildings
Where running a network cable isn’t practical, a wireless bridge can extend your network from the main property to a separate building, such as a garden room, home office, garage or workshop.
A pair of dedicated wireless units creates a point-to-point link between the two buildings, allowing an access point or wired network connection to be provided at the outbuilding without relying on the normal Wi-Fi signal from the house.
Wireless bridges are particularly useful for garden offices and outbuildings some distance from the main property, providing a reliable connection for internet access, streaming, computers and other network devices.
Structured Network Installation
For new-build properties and major renovations, I can install structured network cabling to provide reliable wired connections throughout the property.

A network can be planned around the individual property and may include Cat6 data cabling, network outlets, switches, Wi-Fi access points and a central network cabinet, providing a neat and organised system for connecting TVs, computers, access points and other networked equipment.
Installing the cabling while a property is being built or extensively renovated allows cables to be routed neatly before walls, floors and finishes are completed, resulting in a much cleaner installation.
CCTV Installation
I install CCTV security systems for new-build properties and major renovation projects, providing reliable monitoring and recording for homes and small businesses.
Systems can include IP cameras with Network Video Recorders (NVRs) or DVR-based systems, depending on the requirements of the property. I primarily use SPRO CCTV equipment from a UK-based supplier, with a preference for modern IP camera and NVR systems.
Compatible systems provide remote viewing and security alerts through the DMSS app, allowing you to view cameras remotely, review recordings and receive notifications of detected activity.
Where CCTV is being installed alongside a new network, the CCTV and network infrastructure can be planned together, allowing Cat6 cabling, PoE equipment, Wi-Fi and recording equipment to be installed neatly and efficiently.
