Freesat.
Freesat is a viable alternative to Freeview. It is particular beneficial in areas where there is a poor Freeview signal causing your TV picture to freeze or breakup. To watch Freesat you will need a set top box to connect to your TV and a satellite dish, that we can fit for you (£80 fitted; this includes the dish and cabling to your box). A basic Freesat High Definition (HD) box will cost around £40. With this you will be able to watch over 200 channels . If you want to be able to watch catch up TV on a smart box, then these start from around £80. Boxes that can record and have smart features (Catch up TV via an internet connection and interactive TV guide that allows you to go back over the last 7 days viewing to watch programmes that you may have missed as catch-up TV) start from around £180. These boxes also have the ability to pause, rewind and record your favourite TV shows, subscription free. Freesat Smart TV Recorder are available with 500GB, 1TB or 2TB hard drives – enough to record up to 1000 hours of TV free recording, pause and rewind facilities, and on-demand content through BBC iPlayer and ITV Player 4OD.
To operate effectively and provide a high-quality signal, your satellite dish must be in the line of sight of the satellite transmission beam. We will explain your options, enabling you to evaluate where on your property you would like the dish to be installed. Our favoured approach is to blend the functional with the aesthetic – ensuring that you gain the dual benefits of high-quality reception and a tasteful placement of the satellite dish, so that neither the receiver itself nor the related cabling detracts from the appearance of your property. There is now an app that can be used to control your box as well as being able to seamlessly scroll through the next seven days of programming, making it easier to find what to watch. It is full of fantastic features that let your viewing, record shows on the go, get inspiration on what to watch and even use it as a remote control.
